体内研究 | Dehydroisoandrosterone implants increases aggression in alaboratory-based simulated territorial intrusion. Brains ofDehydroisoandrosterone-implanted birds show higher aromatase mRNAexpression in the preoptic area (POA) and higher androgen receptormRNA expression in the periventricular nucleus of the medialstriatum (pvMSt) and ventromedial nucleus of the hypothalamus(VMH). The Dehydroisoandrosterone-induced increases in aromataseexpression in the POA and androgen receptor expression in the pvMStare consistent with previously reported seasonal increases in thesemarkers associated with naturally elevated Dehydroisoandrosteronelevels. Dehydroisoandrosterone supplementation (10.2 mg/kg) alonesignificantly increases mice body weight (BW), muscle weight,testosterone level, and glycogen contents (liver and muscle) whencompared with SC group. |
